I like the gym personally. The equipment is up-to the notch. I have been going to this gym from past 2 years. I didn’t have any problems so far . I’ve been training with James personally. He is really a good descent person. He is super flexible with my time schedule. He never complained about anything. He is super supportive.

This is a wonderful gym I been going since day one when they opened. The staff is by far the best not only are they super professional but they are as sweet as a apple pie. Best equipment around town that’s for sure !

Anytime fitness Glendale Heights has a great facility, but management and staff are not professional. I approached James (staff member) to cancel my membership (month to month) on a Thursday and he said I would need to make an “appointment”. I asked with who and he said James (the manager) and I could only come in between certain days and times. I made the appointment for the following Tuesday, only to be met by (James the employee and not the manager). I was told I had to pay a $50 cancellation fee. I asked to speak to James the manager who told me he had nothing to do with cancellation and he was extremely abrasive, loud talking and unprofessional. My question was, if he has nothing to do with cancellations, why did I need to make an appointment with him to cancel? This is when he started yelling at the other James and being very unprofessional. They make you jump through a lot of hoops to discourage you from canceling. James should not be a manager because he couldn’t even manage himself professionally. Do not waste your time at this place. They never answer the phone and you must go in person to do anything. The employee James lied and said he never said it was an appointment or I had to meet with James the manager. I still have to pay my monthly fee and $50 (80 total) and they took my key fob. I should still be able to ride the month out of I’m paying for it. NEVER again!!

I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this place. 0 stars SHOULD be an option because they don’t deserve the 1. I STRONGLY recommend taking into consideration what I’m about to say. They do not care about their customers in the slightest, all they want is your money. I was laid off from my job which I explained to them and told them I wanted to cancel my account and that’s when the excuses started. James told me he was just going to put my account on freeze because he was so confident that I would get my job back. Before that I was still getting charged DURING the pandemic. They make it impossible to cancel by any method except going to the gym in person, and even then, it’s only CERTAIN days. You’re only allowed to cancel your membership when the manager James is there and I tried contacting him numerous times to come in sign the paperwork and return my key. I only just got an answer and when I went in, because I didn’t give 30 days notice I’m still getting charged for the month. Since it cost $42 to cancel, it was almost worth it so I never have to deal with this toxic person or place AGAIN.

Nightmare to cancel! You go in and the snarky female tells you she can’t cancel unless you have an appointment (she was not doing anything or busy). COME BACK DAYS LATER FOR YOUR “appointment” and then and the cancelation consists of a piece of paper with your name and signature, but somehow they “need an appointment” to cancel. Make sure you get a COPY of your form when you do actually get allowed to cancel because they will add fees to the form you signed after you leave that says you agreed to cancelation fees! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
