My boys have been attending swim lessons at the YMCA on and off for 3 years. Kyle is an AWESOME teacher and my boys have progressed so far in not just treading water but actual stroke technique. He explains things so they understand him and he keeps their attention by continuing to challenge them with something new to work on each day of lessons. I like the shortened sessions they offer (2 week sessions) 4 days per week. It's so much easier for the boys to remember what they were taught because they are in the pool almost everyday. It's so much better than signing up for 1 day per week with a 6 or 8 week session.nnOverall, great experience with swim lessons and we will continue to sign up our boys for years to come.
The workouts are challenging, the staff is friendly from the front desk to the coach, and I would highly recommend Orangetheory.
I absolutely love this place. The trainers are all so friendly and understanding. Amazing and state of the art equipment.

The summer camp at this YMCA is over priced and some of the camp staff members have sassy unprofessional attitudes. Parents are not given the respect they deserve. They have these summer boosts which include STEM , drama , dance,etc that come at an extra costs but there are other camps that include these activities in the price. Also the activities that you pay extra for are rudimentary. I signed my child up for Stem boost and they made robots out of trash. I guess I have to pay extra for my kid to play with garbage! It makes me wonder what are they even doing. I ask my child and its primarily going to the waterpark, forest preserve and swimming everyday. I would not not waste my kids summer with this camp.
