Jacklin cuts 3 generations of hair in our family and we've got it all: curly, straight, wavy, cowlicky and we get beautiful haircuts every time. Jacklin is extremely knowledgeable and talented. The salon is immaculate (with excellent pandemic controls). And the atmosphere is professional yet warm, friendly, and full of laughter and conversation. I really could not recommend Jacklin K Salon more.

This salon was extremely unprofessional. I am a Makeup Artist and was meeting a mutual client to do her makeup after she got her hair done there. The moment I walked in the receptionist ran to me with her thermometer to take my temperature, she did not bother greeting me and neither did anyone else for that matter.nnMy client proceeded to ask one of the stylists where I can set up my things so I can do her makeup. Keep in mind, the salon was aware that I was coming in for our mutual client’s BRIDAL MAKEUP APPOINTMENT. She then told her that she was not allowed to be in the salon without her mask on and she can’t get her makeup done without it on. Not sure how I can do my job with a mask on the clients face? She then said that I can only do her makeup outside in the alley. A bride was told, on her wedding day, to get her makeup done outside in an alley in 90+ degree weather. This is absolutely unheard of and despicable! Not only was I treated unkindly but so was the client! There are no Illinois covid-19 guidelines that specify beauty services can not be done inside an establishment in phase 4. The owner took it upon herself to decide. If this was the case, she needed to inform the client the circumstances instead of wasting my time in the salon. In addition to this matter, I was at awe walking in and realizing how filthy the premises was. I would definitely never recommend any services at this salon.
