Backyard RV Park

We've known about this little midwest gem for several years...best kept secret! However there is rarely hot showers and they are rustic in nature but other than that..low cost, peaceful, large lots, green soft grass for doggies and very quiet. Totally beats those overrated chain parks by far!

A nice, out of the way campground that was quiet, peaceful and had large pull through. Showers were nice and overall a pleasant place to stay night on a cross country trip. Prices were very good as well

This place is very beautiful and I loved staying here. It was the only place we could find that would be open September-January when we would be there. It is secluded and there is plenty of space between each RV. It is about 10 minutes out of the town of Harlan, so shopping or going out is not bad. They have a bath house and laundry room which was super convenient. Across the street is a golf course which was a nice area to walk around. The owner was very kind and dog-friendly and even gave me some sweaters for my dogs as the weather cooled off. As is got cold in December they had troubles with the insulation in the bath house/laundry room and had a pipe bust, so they had to close it down. Then in January they had issues with the water spouts we were connected to and decided they couldn't fix it and we had to leave by the end of the month. It was tough on us to leave and find another place to stay on short notice, but I understand why they had to and I would still recommend staying here, especially when the weather is nice.

The new owners are taking real good care of the campground behind the house. Lots of open grass and space between campers, big fire pits and nice picnic tables.
