Camp Hauberg

I needed a place to sleep for the night and I drove past this campground not knowing what to expect. My stay here was very pleasant, and what made it better was that it was right on the Mississippi River. After a long hot day, the beautiful sunset and cool quiet night made my camping experience one to remember. Couldn’t have asked for anything more.nnA thanks to Vicky who accommodated me very nicely.

Great place to stay. Super friendly staff go above and beyond to make your stay a great experience. This is the type of place you go a couple of hundred miles out of your way to visit.

I recently stayed at this historic camp ground and had a wonderful experience. As I drove along the road, I was surprised to see my first wild beaver! We stayed in the lodge that is available to rent. It was beautiful, clean and comfy. I'm not sure when it was originally built but the walls and ceiling are covered with knotty pine. It has a real wood burning fireplace, a kitchenette, shower and it looks to sleep at least seven people. On Sunday the campground offers a delicious breakfast buffet.nI hope to have our family reunion here next year. There's room for those of us who enjoy tents and spots for those who have campers. And those who could sleep in the lodge. The lodges living room is large enough for the kids to put their sleeping bags on the floor.nAs I was leaving and drove along the mighty Mississippi (literally 5' from) I imagined how many pioneers and native Americans traveled through these waters?

We Had an amazing time, friendly and clean. Great views of the Mississippi River, wildlife, peaceful and relaxing. Showers and bathroom exceptionally clean. Vicki and Haley checked on us during the horrible storm. Very caring staff. Friendly atmosphere like home. We will continue to return for many years.

Camp Hauberg is great. The family that manages it are wonderful.
