Spent some time at the park in late November and found that there is a lot to do and see at the park. We will definitely go back.
North RV parking.nNice and quiet. They have a bath house that's very clean. The conservation officers always stop by to see if you need anything?nEveryone was so friendly and it made it very relaxing.
quiet park the facilities are real clean too much moss in the pond to fish
Love the camping, love the nature, love the disk golf, love the pond, love the vibe, love the price for overnight camping spot rentals!
There are 28 spots, all with electric (30 amp) and water that gets split between 2 sites each, so bring a splitter/Y connection for the hydrant. Plenty of water pressure, so no worries there. Medium to large size trees provide shade to every site, some more than others. Nice grass between the sites and a solid crushed rock base for parking the rig. Each site sports a nice fire ring and, oddly, a large pink granite boulder in the parking area, for reasons that escape me, but you must back in right past the giant rock, so keep it in your mirror. You will NOT move it.nnThe camp sites are located well away from the lake site, with numerous walking trails throughout the park. It's a very quiet park, with no roads nearby and an occasional distant train horn that is not disturbing at all. There is playground equipment at the far end of the camp area, along with very decent bathrooms and showers. The dump station is in the same area and easily accessed. Two log cabins with lovely views from the porch are also available.nnThe trails include a 9 hole frisbee golf course that roams through the hills and by the lake. Idea: If you are a REAL golfer, you could bring a wedge and practice your short game playing balls instead of frisbees. But bring extra balls. If you miss the mowed area you will be in the deepest rough of your life. ud83eudd74nnDuring our visit (JUL2020) the lake wasn't really swimmable due to heavy green 'soup' along the beach and a few other areas. But the lake is lovely nevertheless.nnWe recommend it and will be back.
