Not fancy, family friendly and awesome fried catfish. Key word catfish. Fish and chips? Was the same fried fish from elementary school, the fried shrimp fresh out of the frozen food department and the fries where cooked in the same old oil. But we'll go back always do.
Catfish filets were very good. They did not have whole fish. Hushpuppies were nice and fluffy but not a lot of flavor. Service was not great. Server was not friendly nor attentive. Maybe she was having a bad day. I did appreciate that she did not touch our glass rims with the pitcher when she poured our water and tea. It had been years since I have been here but this is one of only two places in North Alabama that I will order catfish. It is fluffy and flaky and not greasy! You must go if you are looking for good catfish.
Newberns has been a staple restaurant in our family for years. It never disappoints. The food and service are always great. I'm not sure I've ever had a bad experience at newberns.
Good prices and good food. Always busy but thats more of a testament to how good they are.
This restaurant was scrumptious and delicious the officials outstanding me and my wife had a great time and we watch the movie from my phone
