This is an amazing and fascinating spiritual sight to visit. The monumental amount of work that went into laying all of these stones is mind-blowing. It's well worth the trip out of town from Florence to get there, added plus is you ride the Natchez Trace parkway for a good 15 minutes to find the site, which is really a beautiful drive and so peaceful. I highly recommend making this trek if you are anywhere in the Florence or Muscle Shoals area.
Amazing experience. So much peace and harmony and just a great place to go to get centered.
Testimony of love in stone. Years of intense labor in the making. You can feel the love here.
I have stopped here many times over the years while leading a group of motorcycle riders. We stopped yesterday and backed our heavy touring bikes into the drive-way just as Tom the owner had instructed us to in the past. I was glad to see the drive was now cement instead of gravel. But just as we got off the bikes, a woman came out scolding us for parking in her drive-way. She told us we were welcome to see the Wall but had to park across the paved road of the gravel side street. The gravels looked like large chunks of yellow rock that would be difficult to park on and turning would be hard.nCars and even adventure bikes should have no problem. But heavy touring bikes should reconsider stopping here. We left taking our $100 donation with us and apologized to her for getting her upset.
A true gem! We found this while searching for places to see in the Florence/Muscle Shoals area. This place is a heartfelt testament of one man's devotion to his ancestor. He depicts the story of his great, great, great grandmother's journey back to her native land by hand laying natural stones, one for each step she took into walls along wooded paths. Along the path are many areas that one might stop to meditate and reflect upon their life's journey. A must see if you are in the area.
