Excellent General Aviation Airfield. Friendly knowledgeable airport staff. Clean, comfortable terminal building with lounge, snack room, free coffee, planning area, and conference room. Always reasonable fuel prices, jet A and 100LL. They my even have some airport bums (Pilots) hanging around the place.
Best small airport in the tri-state area (AL, GA, TN). Low-cost Jet and LL fuel, fuel trucks, spacious ramp area. Clean restrooms, pilot rest loft, break room with free coffee, flight planning nook, conference room with large table and extra setting, lounge with large screen TV, free wifi, two courtesy cars. Great people, excellent service.
Wx interrupted a flight and I diverted to 4A9. On a Saturday, I was given the crew car to get lunch then racked out in the lounge waiting for wx to break. At closing time the gentleman left me the keys to the crew car in the event I needed to get dinner or a hotel. Clean and pristine facility.
I had an unplanned stop at Isabell Field due to an engine oil leak on my Cub. Despite being after hours, Barry arranged the airport courtesy van for me and with help of others based at the airport, including a mechanic who maintains aircraft for a custome there, we were able to resolve the issue. A friendly and helpful group turned a difficult situation into a positive experience! Hotels, restaurants, and sights abound!
