We rode to Monterey for the canceled Maple Festival knowing shop owners would need support. High's Restaurant was were we (17 riders) chose to eat. The owner was super nice, funny and accommodating. The food was good and service was exceptional. Pardon the play on words but I'm high on highly recommending High's.

Very intriguing. The pictures I’d say. Our starter was a salad with molded shredded carrots. Entree’ - wait for this- store bought processed pork BBQ for $18.95. Doesn’t matter, I’d spend $59, but this dish? I clearly as an outsider would spend this looking at what was marketed as visuals. Now, as a consumer, look at their pictures again. Very deceiving. Apparently they knead dough, show top quality dishes and I was served mold? Beyond shocked and disappointed. Not only the owner should be ashamed, we were willing to support a local restaurant these days due to a dreadful pandemic, but to try and fool people in this manner takes some guts. If I had the same gut, I would’ve left without a tip and posted pictures to prove mold and store bought food that was presented in front of me within this review like a superstar! All I had left to give was a review. I do not recommend and a message to the owner: you should be ashamed. Prove me wrong. Post your visuals as of today of what you’re serving your customers and awards, demonstrating your ethics before leaving two guests with a sour taste in their mouths on their ride back home. Thank you!

What a wonderful place! We went in at closing two nights in a row. They were super accommodating and didn’t mind the late visit. The owner and server went out of their way to make the kids laugh and have a great time. They told us stories of their history and let the kids help make the desserts! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful place to stop and eat or just have dessert! Great atmosphere and SUPER FRIENDLY people. Owner was awesome. Will definitely go back if we are ever in the area again!

Amazing food, amazing staff, and amazing history. This restaurant is a beautiful gem inside the small little town of Monterey! I would highly recommend this place to everyone!
