Planet Fitness

Planet Fitness is a top facility to work out at. It really provides and promotes a lifestyle of both physical and mental health between the variety of work out options as well as massages and the Beauty Angel/Total Body Enhancement which improves your skin, body and mood/nerves. There are even cold drink and protein options. The most important aspect of Planet Fitness is the equipment however. It is all new looking and what's more, the machines execute perfectly and do not catch in the middle of a rep as many machines at other gyms do because they are ancient. Another wonderful thing about Planet is their philosophy and focus on health over vanity. Working out should be about the long term and therefore should be relaxing at your own pace which can be hard sometimes in an environment where hard bodies are showing as much skin as they can and men screaming and dropping tons of weight on the ground. As large as the Cross Lanes facilities are and thereby all the space one has to one's self while exercising, you still won't be exposed to that kind of atmosphere; no, here everyone belongs and has the same goal in mind which is to work out in a tasteful peaceful clean and comfortable environment, and Planet Fitness as a brand does THE BEST to provide and encourage you, because ...??? .... : HEALTH IS WEALTH! Thank you to the super friendly and accommodating staff at Cross Lanes also!! My life has gotten substantially better since I've had the gym back in, oh and I haven't even started on the price and the perks!!! 10$ month for workout and 20$ a month for ALL the perks: tanning, total body enhancement/beauty angel(Red Light Therapy) and the massage beds both types, (plus classes and many other features I haven't taken advantage of yet) but most important is w black card you can bring a non member with you to work out EVERY SINGLE DAY YOU WORK OUT! Basically could be like 2 for 2 if you're a couple..? You can't beat it and I'm so glad we finally have some PF in West Va, but also a great one no less in Cross Lanes, way better than the one I worked out in Vero Beach FL, which was great too!

Good amount of equipment. Full rack...but people don't re-rack the weights, leave sweat all of the benches, and the men are old pervs that don't mind touching you. Really disrespectful and disappointing.

Everyone who works there is really nice. I don’t feel judged by them. For $20 a month I get to workout everyday, use the total body enhancement, tan, massage chairs and hydro beds so it’s a great deal!!

The staff is always friendly and courteous. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The equipment is modern and in good condition. However, a recent rearrangement of equipment has made things crowded and confusing. Moving things around to accommodate for social distancing has had the opposite effect. It will be nice when everything is moved back to its prior place after this nonsense is over in the coming months and the ridiculous mask mandates are lifted. Overall it is a great place to exercise and stay fit. I would still highly recommend PF to my family and friends.

This gym is great! Plenty of equipment and the staff is amazing. Absolutely love the Hydro massage, and can’t wait to use the tanning beds
