This is a lovely little campground. The facilities are clean. Water views all the way around. Great location close to Nash and also to some neat hiking and paddling options in the Harpeth River state park.nnThe reason for the 4 stars is because......nnBefore you book, Just please know that sites 14 and 15 are connected. Which is great if you are there with other campers. But you literally share the same driveway. I really Wish I had known that before I booked it from Florida for 5 nights. We had site 15. One night we had tent campers in 14, so they had to camp in the grass in front of us while using the camping pad amenities behind us. So they were walking all the way up through our site to get back and forth and we have a big dog, so it was challenging and not relaxing at all. Plus they had 4 vehicles taking up our shared driveway. Just a heads up, in case you like a little more privacy.nnAlso, there are some sketchy looking people that use the day use area, but I will say that it does seem like the local police are on top of that.nnThat all being said though, I would definitely stay there again, just not in sites 14 or 15, unless I was traveling with another group of campers.

My other favorite. It is by a smaller riverbed the Grandkids love to Kayak in it! Clean bathrooms and private shower rooms.

My husband reserved on recreation.gov and when we showed up today it was closed. A lady from inside the gate said that she worked there and that they closed on the 15th. He asked her how to get our money back and she said call the phone number. I was in the truck calling and the phone just rang no voicemail. On the website you can cancel and there is no refund because it's the day of. Which means we can't get our money back. The lady insisted that he was wrong in the location that he reserved but would not approach him to see the reservation. My husband and I are both army veterans and will never come here again. I will also tell all of my military friends and go to the mwr on fort Campbell to let them know about her rudeness and complete disregard of compassion.

It's a really nice place to relax and get away. The entire campground is clean and we'll taken care of. The campsites are set up with electric and water hook ups, there's a dump station on site so you come in with empty tanks and leave the way. There's also a bath house, playground, horse shoe pits, frisbee golf, and boat ramps to access the river and plenty of fishing. The host is friendly and helpful and do an outstanding job keeping the grounds looking sharp.
