Excellent School. Dedicated Staff Members. Great parents. Motivated Students. I am amazed daily with the students at SPS. We have the best support from our FAMILIES. This year we have had great parental involvement activities (Grandparents Day, Donuts for Dads, & Muffins for Moms). We look forward to the POSSIBILITIES.
Send your child somewhere else. It is not a good school at all. No offense, but this is my honest opinion. Discipline on students were off and some teachers there were completely disrespectful.nnAlso, get this, I was sent an email from a student asking for sexual activity. I declined it and said 'no' and the staff blamed the whole incident on me. Like, really? Do you really want a student to have sex in middle school? Honestly the staff was just ignorant and selfish.nnSorry not sorry.
I went for a tour last week, the last week of January 2017. The sign in front of the school still talks about Fall Festival and fall news.... I scheduled the tour and then when I arrived, they were unprepared and the lady that was going to do it made sure we all knew it wasn't her job. She relayed tons of helpful school gossip and wasted our time talking about things she wished they would change. We weren't introduced to anyone, in fact ever face we ran into was unhappy and displeased to have people looking around. We passed the principal walking the halls 4 times, no one stopped to introduce us. Not even a wave. Even with our huge Visitor stickers on. We did learn about people that have resigned and all that jazz. No art in the halls, no sign of school pride at all. It was truly disappointing. The schedule isn't want they say they are doing online, that information hasn't been updated.

This is my little one's first year at this school. From the time we toured the school to now, there has been no doubt that choosing SPS was a great decision. There are always activities happening at the school during and after hours. The teachers are warm and easy to get communicate with. The principal is easy to get in touch with, as well, and she truly loves the kids. We look forward to many more years at SPS!
