Dear Emma Stiles, I am so saddened to hear about your experience at St. Peter's Lutheran Church because it differs so greatly from mine. I invite you to come sit with me so we can worship together. Also, I would love for you to join me on Monday nights for our women's Bible study at St. Peter's. It is also offered Tuesday mornings if you can't come on Monday. We starting a new one tomorrow night on Hebrews! Can't wait!nI have only been an member here for 6 years, my family & I have always been welcomed and encouraged to be active members in the church family. The sermons are from the heart and straight from scripture. In fact, I love that we are encouraged to bring our own Bibles and make notes within the pages to note His power in our lives. There are so many ministry opportunities at St. Peter's Lutheran that anyone who joins can find their place to serve God. Yes, we are a church of sinners- thank God for His grace and love. Can't do life without HIM!

We stumbled on this church quite by accident when we moved to the area. It's beautiful stone & stained glass made us give it a try! WOW! The sermons are thought-provoking and interesting, the music is great and the people are friendly. Sunday morning breakfast time is a real treat and a great opportunity to get the know the folks.

We love this church! The members are very friendly and kind to new comers. The pastors are friendly and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed celebrating the holidays here!

My husband and I have been welcomed with open arms at this wonderful church! Getting involved from the beginning helped us to get to know more folks and become part of the family. They have great Bible studies, wonderful, inspiring messages from the pulpit, great traditional services and some of the best cooks in the county!

I am a woman in my 50’s and have witnessed the changes this church has experienced in the last few years and none of them are good. The ministry team is patronizing in their messages and and the sermons reflect the overly inflated self image of the pastor with their length and the fact that he brings himself to alternating fits of laughter and tears. The church itself is not overly welcoming. I was out for nearly a month after a surgery and even though I made leadership aware of my hospitalization, there was no visit or follow up. Not one person asked about my absence. I have a long history in this church and hate to look elsewhere, but the overall unwelcoming environment, the lack of financial stability, the rejection of those with alternative lifestyles, and the patronizing sermons by both the pastor and new associate leave me wanting to look elsewhere. I really hate that my church family has become more like distant relatives.
