We stayed in one of the villas in the park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the cabin was clean and had a phenomenal view of the lake. We definitely look forward to coming back.
Beautiful island off lake Murray. Although the fish didn’t bite this day, we still plan to come back and try again in spring. Peaceful area and privacy with a lot of room to fish.
My grandfather and nephew had a blast fishing together.
Beautiful well maintained state park
South Carolina knows how to do state park camping right. Dreher Island is beautiful, clean, well maintained, and most sites are a comfortable distance apart. I'm making my fourth trip to Dreher Island in as many months soon, and I can't wait. Perfect place for paddling to remote islands, hiking, or just kicking back and enjoying the scenery.
