Extremely disappointed in CASC. This year especially. We’ve been with the program for a couple of years and have had a numerous amount of problems. Some of the teachers act like they want to help resolve what ever the problems there are but soon throw you off on the other teachers, attendance, advocates, admins or principal. Most of which don’t get back to you. Especially the principal.nThis year I had two students in CASC. A 3rd grader and kindergartener. They both did classes at the same time and both completed their work together so that I could keep up with everything and make sure everything was being done to meet their minimum standards. I was recently told that my 3rd grader had missed days and was being taken out of the school completely. I tried everything to keep him in the school but it seemed like everyone had made up their minds about this issue. Some tried to help me but I was soon directed to talk to head administration who was done with us and wouldn’t hear any more. The school has had a big amount of technical difficulties ranging from not being able to access the OLS or even being unable to attend the live class session. Regardless of this and all the screen shots I’ve taken and all the emails I’ve gathered they refused to work with us any further. They continued to press us and constantly threatened truancy on me. Everything happened on a Friday so I was left to stress the whole weekend. That Monday I immediately Went to the school closest to us to sign him up. All other online schools were either not accepting applications any more because of the increased interest due to COVID-19 or they cost the same amount as a private school and we simply couldn’t afford that. And we desperately didn’t want to send him back to the school we took him out of because of bullying, but CASC left us absolutely no choice. Even after we registered him in a new school they were still threatening me with truancy. Telling me they would have to take action soon if I didn’t do something soon. I sent emails to everyone informing them of the change and even filled out the school withdrawal form to notify them of the change but to no avail. CASC teachers only teacher for about 10-15 minutes, using the other time to talk about their personal lives or having to tell students to stop playing in the chat box or the live class tools. If a student has a question and they put it in the chat box, it gets over looked because of all the chatter going on. And if they talk to the teacher, they are rushed or not listened to.nWith the combination of technical difficulties, teachers, staff and threatening truancy constantly the CASC has failed deeply when it comes to communication, understanding and willingness to work with the families.

The curriculum at thisnSchool is Stellar!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐nI like the fact it challenges my childnAbove and beyond my expectations!nThe schedule may seem like a bit much at firstnHowever once you get yourself on a concrete daily routine you'll be fine.nThe curriculum challenges your child to push themselves toward Academic excellence.nYour child will definently be way beyond the kids in public school as far as curriculum is concerned!nSupplies,Books, materials provided by the schoolnAre excellent ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐nInstructions provided to learning coaches are greatnAbove and beyond my expectations!nWith that being said I really love this school for our child.nShe has grown so much Academically Through this school!nSo I really want to keep her in this program throughout her school yearsnHowever.....nThis past week I've noticed that her ELA class connects are no longer on her weekly schedulenI've reached out to the teacher with no responsenI've reached out to my assigned AdministratornWithout clarification on why.nReached out to k12 support They informed me that the Teacher did not post her live connect session on my child's lesson plans.nNever had this problem before my child never misses school or class connects!nSchool is very important to us and we take it very seriously!nStaff and learning coaches must be aligned with one another for the success of the students and the school.nI understand with the recent pandemic the enrollment in homeschool programs are overwhelmingnFor these types of institutionsnAnd I completely understandnHowever if work load is to much just say thatnJust to not post my child's class connectsnIs completely unprofessional.nAnd as a parent/ learning coach I'm very disappointed.nWe are in the 2nd quarter of schoolnI really hope this issue is resolved so that I can continue to provide my child with the great Academic Achievement that that this school has to offer.nBut at the end of it all the Good out weighs the BadnSo hopefully we will get this issue resolvednAs soon as possible!

This is by far the worst. Unable to communicate with the teachers and never heard from the principle. I'll be filing a complaint with the Board of Education. They are trash!

Didn't give me any of my main course classes. THEN, when I brought that up, they took all of my classes away and then ignored all of the calls trying to get my classes back.

We, Max's parents, are so proud of how hard he has worked this year! He applied to 4 universities/colleges, with the top 2 being Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and Ringling. We attended the admission day at SCAD just to check out the campus, the busiest day where potential Freshmen are given pointers on applying, filling out their Statement of Purpose as well as guidance on completing their Portfolio. Max, however, had already submitted his complete application the first week or two the application process opened. As I checked our email, which was hidden in the spam folder, I was shocked to see Max's official Acceptance Letter! We went straight to his advisor's office and, she actually made her way through the hundreds of students and parents, hand delivered him his acceptance letter! We were and still are so very proud of our son! Since then, he has received $46,500, in scholarships, from SCAD alone. While he’s completed many more scholarships, he continues to study for his EOC exams, do well on them while applying to more scholarships. He joined the National Honor Society and recently the National Society of High School Scholars. He will be majoring in Animation! Max, Mama and Daddy are so proud of you!!!
