The campground itself is picturesque and sites are nice. The 30 A power at the site I stayed in did not work (site 07). Also they close a gate blocking vehicle access to the campground at night. There is no signage notifying campers of this and when I checked in the camp host did not inform me of this. So last night I had to park in the grass along the road outside the campground and walk in. Today nobody is in the access booth and nobody answers the door at the trailer at the entrance so I still have no idea what time they lock the gate to the campground. It seems like there should be a sign announcing this procedure to out of town guests.
Fun place for a short visit. Quiet and not crowded M - Th. The weekends can reach full capacity and it gets loud and the restrooms get destroyed! We ended up using our own shower and toilet (RV) because someone vomited all over the men's room and the women's room had little kids playing in the sinks and a shower. It gets BAD on the weekends! They have a cleaning lady but said she only comes once in the mornings.nYou're Camping -. Bring your own Toilet Paper, Hand Soap and Trash bags. People always steal what is provided in the restrooms. BRING YOUR OWN!!
I love this place recommended water shoes
The sites near the lake are nice, but there's not much to do outside of fish once you get here.nnThere is a little playground for the younger kids, but they need some hiking trails.
