National Weather Center

Great place! Guess you could say I was BLOWN away by the details inside. ;)

Had an awesome time attending a storm spotter class, instructors are very knowledgeable. The cafeteria had descent food.

Our visit to the National Weather Center facility was eye opening. You realize that daily weather and severe storms for the US are tracked and forecasted somewhere but this was a great opportunity to better understand who actually does these activities.nnThe center is a multilevel facility with computers, monitors and smart people everywhere. There were storm trackers being outfitted with sophisticated radar in the garage. They even had actual weather equipment used in the movie “Twister” on display. The facility is on the University of Oklahoma campus so next time you’re there to catch a game, don’t hesitate to absorb technology at it’s finest.

We went today and met some really cool people a lot of news stations were here and we had a lot of fun. This was our very first time to come here and it was well worth it the grounds were clean and beautiful. ud83dudc4dud83dudc4d

Great place to visit for those who love weather. They do have a dining area inside, pretty good food.
