I've really been wanting to try out this restaurant. With friends in town this seemed like the perfect opportunity.nWe arrived just be as they opened and were seated promptly. The staff were very efficient and attentive and made the visit enjoyable.nThe food is very good, well worth the wait. I had the tamale, enchilada and taco special. It arrived quickly and was hot and delicious.nAll in all I think this is a definite do-again. The chips, salsa and queso are good and plentiful. The drinks are cold and the food is well-above average.

Moved from California and all my friends joked that I would never get the same great taste....Well that was an absolute lie. Tarahumara's is amazing! Great customer service! Mole just mouth watering! The Chili Verde top notch in my books along with Chili Colorado. Been here a very short time in Norman (2 weeks) and Tarahumara's keeps calling my name.

Food is amazing at Tarahumara's. I typically get tacos and enchiladas and they're always great. Fast service. Friendly staff. Decorated inside. Prices are a little higher in comparison to other Mexican restaurants in Norman. Main thing I didn't like right now is there is very little COVID precautions. Staff are wearing masks, but there is NO social distancing, and no glass between booths. Very crowded small space. One star removed for safety and the other for prices

How does this restaurant NOT have a full 5 stars??? Service is so fast. Very friendly. Everyone hustling. Food is AMAZING. I had the pork rib fajitas. Delicious. Have not had Mexican food this good and authentic since I left Southern Arizona.

Good things first, my youngest son loved the tacos. Aside from that, it was a pretty miserable meal. My 12-year-old is normally a bottomless pit, but declared both the fries and the burger to be so bland that he barely ate half his burger (and none of the fries.) My $15 ground beef burrito was mostly beans, and tasted of nothing but raw chili powder and salt. My wife was similarly dissatisfied with her meal. In all fairness I did not tell our server we were unhappy (I didn't want to wait another half hour for food), so they did not have the opportunity to fix things. That is entirely on me. But $70 (including tip) for a meal that included no appetizers, 1 kids meal, only two soft drinks, and no alcohol or dessert is pretty insane. Meals were ground beef burrito, ground beef tacos, kids cheeseburger, and what amounted to two street tacos. It wasn't inedible, but it was unenjoyable at best. Unfortunately we have never had an amazing (or even especially good) meal there, so this will likely be our last visit. Oh, and they had the dining room completely packed ... no efforts whatsoever to space tables our or create any sort of separation between diners.
