Great food as always. The efforts to remain open, friendly, and most of all clean through this season have been handled wonderfully by the owners and staff alike. Social distancing was kept nicely, plenty of sanitizing stations throughout and mask worn by all. Couldn’t ask for a better!

Wonderful staff, wonderful atmosphere, wonderful food!

I love this restaurant but employees should not be talking over your food while waiting to get to an item. Also they need to tell customers to cover their NOSE AND MOUTH when wearing a MASK. Today a customer had her mask off of her nose and mouth. I started to just leave. COVID-19 IS VERY SERIOUS PEOPLE!!!ud83dude37ud83dude37ud83dude37ud83dude37

Pandemic Disappointment! I try not to eat out often, especially during this pandemic, but every now and then you don’t feel like cooking and just want to sit down with a decent meal without the hard work. I’ve eaten at D&S many times and for the most part the food has been good and we’ve been satisfied. My last two visits (June & then July with out of town family) were a huge disappointment. I don’t know if there are new cooks in the kitchen, but something was going on with the food where it wasn’t as fresh as usual, and it was overcooked and tasteless. I was so disappointed where after raving about this place, I brought my family here only to have them walk away and say “I’m good, and I’m all set, let’s try some place else”. I usually order the beef liver, but the presentation itself was horrible as the liver appeared to be old, overcooked and drawn up. I did ask for a fresher piece which was given to me, but it wasn’t hitting it. Second, the Mac & cheese was ok but different. The cabbage is usually very good, but this particular time, it was not fresh and was tasteless. I even took a picture of the dish because I had never seen the cabbage look like it did... Something was definitely off. And last, the cornbread was so hard, where if you threw it, you would have injured someone. We had the woman serving our table take it back and take it off our bill. Overall it was a very disappointment experience and we have not been back since. I’m hoping it was an isolated incident and that D&S will do better in taking pride in the food that is prepared and served. During this pandemic, one can’t be too careful and it’s just as easy to cook and eat at home. As I want to continue supporting black owned businesses, I’m hoping to give it another shot and see some improvement in the freshness and taste of meals being served.
