Heard great things about this even endured an unpaved 4 mile drive to get here from Mills River - only to find the gates closed. Pressed the intercom button and the team lead lady was super nice - she said unfortunately they don’t take walk ins anymore and we had to have an appointment prior to arrival. And she was away from the site and could not just drop by to let us tour. Some other time...

First time visitor. We came for Starry Night Story Time while camping nearby. The stories were fun. But looking through various telescopes at dozens of features in the night sky was amazing. We saw planets, galaxies, nebulas, star clusters, the moons of Jupiter, and much more. An unforgettable experience.

Great fun for all ages. I thought this was one of the coolest things in my life to have a private guided tour at PARI.nnI love all the neat things that you can touch and feel, and were actually in outer space. Michelin space tire is awesome!nnLots of neat computer stuff and gemstones and minerals.nnThis is Asheville area’s best secret! I’m so happy I came and will definitely be coming back.nnThe RF telescope was interesting to see in action and how the galaxies look like in other spectrums and frequencies that are naked to the human eye.nnI love star watching and seeing the incredible technology at PARI, I am very impressed and pleased. I have a new place to hang out now and an excuse to go hiking in the Pisgah National Forest instead of a park near town.
