Sky Lake Boardwalk

I have been searching for good trails in ms some hidden gems this was a pretty good swamp trail. The boardwalk is well kept and you get to see some really big cypress trees some over 1000 years old. Others big enough to produce 90k of lumber. The knowledge about how these trees and the swamp work together is great info to learn. If your the first on the boardwalk in morning get a stick as the spider webs can be a bit much ud83dude09.

Very nice to walk the boardwalk in the winter and observe all the colors and textures of these mighty trees. The boardwalk is in good condition and is a great area to watch winter birds such as the Winter Wren. Barred owls might even serenade you, like they did for us.

Such a treasure!!! Boardwalk is nice and the views of the swamp environment are amazing . Several interpretive and informative markers along the way to that fabulous cypress tree. Bathroom facilities, a pavilion with ceiling fans and picnic tables, an outdoor amphitheater all make it a pleasant day's adventure .

A hidden gem. Very much worth the time to visit.

It's a beautiful, enchanting, even haunting place. The boardwalk goes between some cypress trees that are 2,000 years old. It's really something.
