This is one of the best restaurants we've ever eaten at (and in a rare moment of multi-generational agreement, everybody from the kids to the adults in our party agreed on that point). Yes it's a little bit off the beaten path, but if you want to enjoy an incredible meal at a ridiculously good price, it's worth the trip to the small village of Housatonic, a few minutes north of Great Barrington.nThe food was prepared fresh, with many locally sourced, and organic ingredients. This was very evident in each of the various meals we ordered. Portion size was large, and the presentation was also very good (you are served on various china from the owner's collection). Service was fast and friendly. Pricing was inexpensive, and a ridiculously good bargain when you factor in the quality of the meals.nThere is both indoor and outdoor seating, and there is an interesting assortment of decor both inside and out. you'll probably want to spend a few minutes walking around checking things out after you order.nThere is plenty of parking in the area, and a decent amount of both indoor and outdoor seating.nWe feel this is the best restaurant in the Berkshires, and one of the best anywhere in the country.

Lovely place, The people who ran it are amazing, so friendly, amazing to talk to, and the vibe is amazing, I loved sitting outside, the outdoor area they’ve created is amazing, and for a special suprise ask about Eunice. I highly recommend their brunch, and sweet crepes. Their latte was the best I’ve had since the beginning of Covid, such a breath of fresh air. And all of this cost us only $48! For four people! We were blown away. If you want a great experience please go here, and give Eunice a peanut for me.

Amazing food and service. It’s a small mom and pop operation and the care and passion they have really shines through in the food and hospitality. I went for breakfast and they weren’t really “open” but the owner welcomed us and made us some amazing food: wonderful fresh fruit, astounding wild berry compote, french toast, pancakes, the best eggs I’ve had in a long time, and dressed greens with what I can only describe as the best spinach-artichoke dip I’ve had in my life. I will definitely be going back for lunch or dinner soon.nnThe settings and decor are rustic with very interesting antiques and knick-knacks strewn about alongside flowers and other decorative plants that I’m assuming are seasonal (there were quite a few heritage pumpkins when I went).nnI asked about the hours and he said he is open every day from 12-8 without fail, but some mornings he isn’t there because he has to go to his farm to get ingredients and advised to call ahead for breakfast. There is limited outdoor seating so it’s probably wise to call ahead at any time.

Quiet, inviting, delicious food. Do not come here if you are in a rush. This place is for those who appreciate the wait and the ambience. Our favorite stop on relaxing week-ends.

This place is unique, absolutely beautiful and very cozy. Excellent service, we only had coffee and dessert but looking forward to go back for breakfast. I truly recommend it.
