A planned trip To take my grandson there for his birthday. This happened to be the same day the rocket was rescheduled to take off. But super busy but the museum open an hour and a half later. So we travelled into town. Not much there . Back to the museum and it was nice. Not as impressed as I thought it would be but the boy enjoyed it. Dover AFB museum is more hands on. Sorry NASA

This is a wonderful place to visit! Our last visit, the roof observation deck was finally open. That's our only caveat with the center - there always seems to be one large wing or area that is constantly under construction. I'm sure it's going to be something spectacular when they get around to finishing things. In the interim, the exhibits detailing the history of the Wallops Island Flight Facility, MARS (Mid Atlantic Regional Spaceport), and even the naval air station that preceded it all, are nicely done and very informative. We especially appreciated all the detailed information on the large Antares rockets launched at MARS.

Awesome experience seeing an Antares rocket launch in person. You're a little far away at the visitor center's viewing area but it's a clear view to the launch pad and the sights and sounds are incredible. The visitor center is also really well done, very informative with a few exhibits and learning areas. Parking is pretty limited so you definitely want to get there early for a launch viewing, it gets pretty crowded.

Fantastic cloudy day trip, one hour from Ocean City. Free to enter. Facility is good for 60-90 minutes of browsing. Some dated exhibits and some brand new. Includes 24-minute video which plays continuously. Several hands-on exhibits for children. Rooftop viewing area is fantastic for watching the nearby, aircraft carrier flight landing practice.

There is not too much to see and do here, but what they have is interesting and it's free to get in, so your not losing anything (except time) if you don't enjoy it. My son just loved seeing the missiles and the interactive displays. My husband was here when he was young and he loved bringing our son to experience the same thing.
