Great park, beach is nice to look for shark teeth/fossils. Walk to the beach from parking is quick, and there is some handicap parking spaces closer to the beach. Plenty of picnic tables/spots. People wore masks and generally kept their distance.nnWe found the park to be very manageable with young kids, and did all the hiking trails in about 2.5 hours with a 4 and 7 y/o. Very nice views of the bay from some spots.nnWater did not seem great for swimming however (some dead fish floating etc). However, as long as your plan is not to swim, this is a great spot for the family to spend a few hours. We arrived at 10:30 and left at 4, which was enough to get to know the park well.

Highly recommend over Calvert Cliffs. Less people and nicer beach, better maintained and more variety of trails. Main trails give you variety of offshoots to shorten or lengthen your hikes. Nice mix of plants and terrain. Easy enough paths to follow although the park itself wasn’t very well marked to turn off the highway. Great experience all in all.

Beautiful state park with nice short hiking trails. It was well maintained and there weren’t a lot of people during the winter, so it was nice and quiet. You can also go fossil hunting (for shells and shark tooth) on the beach!

Nice walking trails, and beach with Miocene marine fossil fragments - scallops and other mollusks, coral, even sharks teeth and whale ear bones, rarely.

Beautiful gem of a park with ponds adjacent to a wide beach and the bay. Definitely recommend!
