Loved our visit! Very well maintained, restroom was clean, RV sites nicely done, enjoyed walking around the lake and on the trails. I do wish there was a cleared walking path up the middle to the restrooms.
This is a Parish county park. Absolutely beautiful like other reviewers mentioned and employee on duty were nice and efficient. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this park if you are looking to RV here during the weekend, despite that they have the most gorgeous waterfront sites.nTons of locals - apparently a hidden gem not known to the general public and some campers invite their guests to party, drink and do firework after dark. A couple of them even parked their big trucks on our site (we have a small trailer), without checking with us. Felt very unsafe with these people around.nNo campground host and you have to call 911 or sheriff office for emergency. Basically you have no way to address any issues after 5:00pm. No wonder this campground became a party site. Very disappointed.
This is a beautiful park & offers an array of opportunities and beauty. The lake is extraordinarily peaceful with a multitude of fowl including, ducks, birds & egrets. There are pavilions available to rent, tent camping, etc. The RV park section with concrete slabs (with a gated area around it), is FANTABULOUS overlooking the lake. There are running/walking trails filled with foliage & magnificent trees for exploring. I didn't have time to hike, but absolutely will do when I return!
This is one of the cleanest state parks I have visited. The trails are closed due to a little flooding but the park is absolutely beautiful. There is a walking path around one of the lakes. The playground is huge, my 4 and 5 year old loved it.
Great park. Walking biking trails. And fishing. Great place
