The building opened in 1972 and it really looks like it in some areas but they have been fixing it up for the past couple of years and they have been building newer buildings there which have replaced the trailers that they used to have. Overall most of the teachers I had there were really nice and I didn't have any really mean ones. The cafeteria food wasn't great. ...Though what high school has great cafeteria food? I brought food from home.

Some teachers there are really amazing. The rules are a little to strict but I love the teachers. Mrs. Jenkins and Mrs. Strickland are the best teacher ever.

I'm really not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this school. We are new to this district and to the school and have had no issues so far this year. The administration was very helpful with the registration process and all of my child's teacher's have been great. I've never had any problems with communication and have always had my questions responded to in a timely manner. My child struggled all through middle school and now has all A's and B's. I know the school doesn't rank very high on the SchoolDigger and Great Schools websites, but that mainly has to do with test scores and not necessarily a reflection of the school itself. I have another child in a different district that ranks better than this one, and he hates it. Every High School is going to have it's issues, but personally I think this is a great school and I'm happy with the decision to let my child come here.

I currently have a student attending Johnson High. I must say after only one semester, my child will NOT be returning to this school. Mr. Rogers, the VP, is the most pompous, bullheaded, uncompassionate person I have ever dealt with in a school setting. Our children are not allowed to bully other children, yet this school allows it's administrators to bully and harass students. The should be ashamed! I will say, we have met some really great teachers and it is not all bad but the administration really reflects poorly on this school. Beware before moving into this district.

Johnson High School is by far one of the worst schools I've ever attended! Maybe if the teachers put a little more care into their students we'd actually care also, unfortunately they fail to know what being a good teacher is.... so sad honestly.
