In a very similar location north of Forest Park as Starlight Drive-in are Constitution Lakes. Like most of the lakes in the region, the Constitution Lakes are man-made rather than naturally forming, although this takes nothing away from their beauty.nnIn fact, Constitution Lakes were created out of the former quarries of a brick-makers. This water world today echoes with nothing more than the sound of bird calling to one another and the splash of breaching fish.nnBoth bird watching and angling are popular reasons for heading towards the lakes, which can be discovered with ease as a result of various walkways that take people around the water’s edge.

A unique and beautiful park, not crowded due to its out of the way location. You won’t see anything like Dolls’ Head Trail, and the wetlands are expansive and teaming with wildlife. Quite easy to get to.

This was an interesting experience. My kids enjoyed seeing all the old toys and the way they were arranged.

Easy hike just about 1.5 miles. Ample parking. Pretty views over the boardwalk. Interesting art work throughout the park. Dog friendly.

Nice and short trail tucked away off of Moreland Ave. Has the small well known Doll head trail which is basically a scattering of old reconfigured doll parts . Gate is closed at dusk.
