Z Beans has locations in Downtown Macon and Mercer Village. I frequent the downtown store near during the week and the Mercer Village shop on weekends. Both locations are great. Coffee is consistently good. Staff is always super friendly! Owner is local, and his business has an endearing backstory.

Every single time I come to the downtown location the staff members are extremely slow in taking and filling orders. They never seem to have the same training as one another which mucks up the whole system of ordering and receiving food.nnToday it took nearly 15 minutes for two people to make two sandwiches which come mostly pre-made already and when I got to work and sat down to eat the sandwich wasn’t even made correctly. This is not the first time they’ve messed up my food order and that of others in my parties.nnThe only reasons I keep returning is because the coffee is good, it’s convenient for my live/work situation and I want to support local, but this location makes it extremely difficult to want to come back each time.nnI hope the training of the employees improve but I would not be surprised if nothing changes as these issues have been going on for over 2 years of me visiting this location.nnI will gladly change my review if I see improvements.

Overpriced. Ordered a black coffee with a splash of almond milk.... I was charged $3.50 for it and the coffee was basically a plain black coffee.nMy husband got a muffin and said that was good but if I was going to get a coffee again I'd go to Starbucks every time for that price.

First time at Z Beans. Nice place indoors. Friendly service. Decent cappuccino on a cold day. Temp of it could have been a little warmer.

Nice local alternative to Starbucks and Dunkin and the staff are more friendlier than the folks at Taste & See Coffee.
