SunRidge Middle School.

This school is a disgrace to the school community. The administrators don't listen to the students. They completely ignoree them. They want this school to be perfect. Ms Padilla is the only good teacher.

The kids at the school curse and the teachers hear it and don't do anything. Kids get rough in the hallways and they still don't do anything. The teachers don't respect the kids (some). But I still think that some teachers are really good teachers (again... some) but some just don't care about what the kids do or if they are getting the lesson that is being taught.

I am an 8th grader and I am graduating from here today. Honestly, good riddance; this school has a plethora of problems that this review will only scratch the surface of. A preface, though-- I am only giving this three stars instead of one because of the wonderful administrators and teachers here who have helped me through some hard times. I suffer from panic attacks due to anxiety and they have been there to calm me down ever since I was diagnosed with related conditions. I really and truly love the staff here.nnHowever, not all is well with this school. The following events are real situations that I have witnessed as a student here for three years. Let me begin with what is fresh in my mind; a student got merely in-school suspension for being vocally racist towards a substitute teacher just because she wore a hijab (I witnessed AND reported this), a teacher has been faced with thinly veiled homophobia from students, there have been several reports of students stabbing other students and getting almost no punishment, a student was Baker Acted with no other reason than they had a mental illness in their records and a teacher disliked them, a student attempted SUICIDE in the bathrooms (this was recent; I saw the ambulance in front of the school and heard what happened later), a student brought hard liquor (vodka) to school in a masked thermos and shared it with their friends who got sick from it and received little to no punishment (I was at the lunch table when that happened; I did not drink the liquor but my friends did), a student offered marijuana to another student if she performed oral sex on him (she did not), a teacher has been accused by students of looking down a young girl's shirt (among other things), and last but not least, I, myself, an openly gay woman, have been subject to homophobic and insensitive remarks regarding my sexuality from fellow students here at SunRidge.nnIf you do send your child here, please keep in mind that the students can be vicious. I would personally only send my child here for the (mostly) wonderful teachers and administrators. They really helped me come out of my shell, and I appreciate that. If not for them, I would still be my shy, introverted, sixth grade self. Though the staff at this school is wonderful, I would definitely heed this warning before making a final choice on your child's school. only thing good about this school for me is some of my teachers beside guzman, also step team and eagle ambassador team. ms matson is so nice she's the best

The principal here is amazing ms.maston is an amazing lady ms.matthews is an amazing lady ms.ramos is an amazing lady but tell me how i got in trouble for running away from A kid that was trying to punch me?
