Okeechobee Girls Academy

Okeechobee girls Academy has its perks and minuses. While my daughter was there she loved her counselor. But they didn't get her dental treatment as needed when she got out she was in extreme pain. I started her dentist treatments asap. When she went in no pain gets out extreme teeth problems. Lost around 40ish pounds turned anemic. Didn't eat much to much pain .Some staff cares while others steal the child's 50.00 gift card that parents send in so they can purchase items for the CHILD along with sending a receipt to the parent of what they used it for .My daughter was informing me what she needed I had reminded my daughter of the gift card they had after her asking about it, it conveniently disappeared. If they used it on another child fine just be honest. I sent my child stuff in quite often as she needed it. Yarn etc. Only great thing she did get her GED while being in there which was very easy since the school work is very simple.
