We have two children attending Heartland Christian. One child is in middle school while the other is in high school. We appreciate the Christian worldview being taught, the smaller class sizes and caring teachers. There's a great community feel to the school and the staff/administration typically bend over backwards to accommodate our family's needs. Heartland might not be for everyone but it's definitely for our family and we love it!nnDee (Sam's mom) :)

I love this school it has a warm welcoming atmosphere. My daughter and I moved from New York to Sebring and it was a difficult transition but when I got her enrolled in this school they became our family. She has the opportunity to learn grow and play and have life long friends here. The helps us so much and I truly appreciate everything about this place.

I went to this school for a year. To be honest, It was a pretty good school. (Besides the drama,) like there was even drama and beef between teachers! The education was okay, but when I came back to the public school it turned out that the math that HCA was teaching was a year behind public schools'. So, I struggled in the fifth grade. Regardless, the school was decent, and I made some friends. Even though one specific teacher always talked about they personal life and their preferences.

Love this school and the teachers. The faculty and staff truly work towards the highest quality of education that is available in the town.

My son went there on a McKay Scholorship. They treated him like crap. The driver of the after school center that picked him up every day after school while I worked observed a staff member grabbing him by the shoulders jerking him back and forth because he was hot and didn't want to wear his jacket. (In Florida it can be in the 40-50's when you leave for school and 70-80+ degrees by the time school lets out. This was one of those days) Staff would belittle him in front of the class because of his reading skills (hence the McKay Scholorship) When you talk to the principal, you are told they would personally take care of the issue. Sure did...two hours after I signed the McKay check to cover the last quarter of school, they called me and told me to pick him up, he was expelled and could never come back. Because they had the final McKay payment for the year, he had to spend the last 3 months of school in a public school.nnHe was treated so bad, my daughter was so upset, she refused to go back. She said it was horrible having to watch them humiliate her brother in front of everyone and not being able to say or do anything about it. She now thinks all christian schools are hypocrital, money laundering schools who use their federal, state and local acredidations to fraud, twist and manipulate the government and the system to get tax free money.
