La Mexicana has been our saving grace during the pandemic. It’s the only place we feel comfortable, safe and like things are normal in the world while we’re there. The staff is all the best. They always make you feel like you’re hanging out with friends. The food is delicious and the drinks are the best in town. Thanks for helping me be able to safely and happily celebrate our birthdays with you. Highly recommend this little gem!
While I am known for swallowing the whole enchilada, this is more of a taco place, and a pretty good one. They feature tacos with different “flavors” including smoked brisket which was a flavor explosion. La Mexicana offered a $9.95 lunch with included a drink, two tacos and some beans and rice.nnThe server kept asking if I wanted an appetizer I guess thinking the lunch meal would be somewhat skimpy. But in the interest of my shapely figure, I was perfectly fine with the lunch offering. Being able to dine outside on a beautiful day was priceless as was the general atmosphere.
The pork tacos were very good. Eating on the outdoor patio made me feel like I was back in Mexico. Margaritas are not too sweet and have a great flavor. The service was very nice as well. We're looking forward to our second visit!
Neno was our severe for the night, giving us an outstanding service. The atmosphere and music was great. Will return!
Stopped here for brunch mid-Saturday, so you would expect that they would have everything on the menu available, right? Not so fast... several items were unavailable, including half of their dessert menu. On the plus side, reasonably priced bottomless brunch drinks and frequent refills. Figure out how to keep things in stock!
