Wake & Bake

I hate, hate, hate to review a restaurant so low, especially during a pandemic when everyone is struggling. I thought the restaurant was cute, and the servers were nice. The parking is horrendous (pretty much all of the square is though) and the music inside was SO loud. When we tried to order a simple breakfast they warned us it was going to be an hour wait. So we decided to just get a ready made cupcake. It was so weird tasting!! A chemical, freezer burn, weird taste that's hard to describe. We all three tasted it and most of us spit it out. I hope they can get a better handle on all this. I really wanted to see them succeed. And on top of that, we were overcharged. Thankfully they righted the money overcharge.

I expected more from this place, I love the other restaurants they are part of. When I walked in as they opened on a Friday morning it had a bit of a smell. I could see the mop strokes on the floor. The bartender was friendly and directed us to the menus on the bar. When we decided what we would get they were out of both things we wanted. We adapted the order and then she immediately wanted payment. Didn’t ask if I wanted a drink or anything. I politely asked if I could have a drink and she obliged, didn’t ask to keep the tab open-making me feel unwelcome. The first table we sat at was sticky. When the food came out everything was over done. I like my hash browns crispy so that was nice, but why ask how I want my eggs if they are going to be over done anyway? I hope things get sorted out.

People were nice and the atmosphere was nice. Beyond that it was terrible. It's breakfast and potatoes were burnt, sausage was burnt and eggs not done right. On top of that the food took forever. Oh, and you get to eat with a plastic spork. No easy to do. The pictures on the side look so nice. Not sure where they got them. Like other reviews with pics our food looked nothing like the pics on the site.

We brought the whole family there, food was outstanding. Kids loved it and the drinks were prime. Would/did and will continue to recommend to others. We can’t wait for the patio weather here.

if I would have gotten the same meal from a food truck I would say the food was great. but I expected more from a sit down restaurant. wait staff was rude upon entering and pretty much the entire visit. glad to say I tried it but won't be back anytime soon.nna really awesome brunch location is the food truck at fossil cove. very nice people, phenomenal food, and arsagas coffee! plus fossil cove beer!!
