Buffalo Point Campground, B Loop

Excellent camping facilities. Forest rangers come by three times a day to check on the campsite, so security is awesome. We stayed for three days, leaving our stuff for hours to go hike the surrounding national forest. Nothing was stolen or messed with.nnSite is open year round. Electric and water hookups are available in summer. Fee required during summer and fall.nVery busy during summer months.nNot so much during winter. This comes at the price of average temps in the 20s - low 30s.nnRaccoons will get into your food if you leave your stuff out! I’m in my thirties and have been camping for two decades, and this pack of raccoons STILL managed to get the best of my “raccoon proof” coolers.nDon’t be afraid of the coyotes in the winter, they will stay well away from your vehicles and tents. Just enjoy the night-time howling.

They are very nice and children love playing all around the camp and dogs too. The grownups love to sit and talk and play games and enjoy the outdoors.
