I love how customer service welcome you in. They make you feel like a friend and not a customer.nThe place is kept up very nice and clean.nI even recommend a friend of mine to rent a space from you all. She lives on Norfolk side and got a storage her and I both love the prices.

From the ease of reserving an unit, to the excellent customer service over the phone and at the facility itself, everything was professionally and thoroughly handled. My life has been super stressed over the last few months and I was not looking forward to renting a storage space. I’ve had mixed results in the past and I really didn’t feel emotionally ready for the unpleasantness of a customer service agent, a dirty unit, changing rates or a long process. I was pleasantly surprised when I called Extra Storage to let them know that I was on my way to sign a contract and Tammy answered the phone very cheerfully. She answered my questions and was very caring. I thought to myself that she probably won’t be the person that I talk to when I get to the facility. Again to my surprise, she greeted me at the door by my name. She took very good care of my needs. She made sure that my passcode worked, she checked the unit to make sure that it was clean and that I knew how to open and close the door and lock. She made me feel that my belongings would be safe and if any problems arose, they would be handled quickly. An all around pleasing experience. Thank You Tammy for Great Service!!!!

Amazing place! Looking for a storage unit or just storage supplies in Portsmouth. Then look no further. I was blown away by the customer service that I received from Ms. Andrea Murdock. She was well versed new the products and was beyond nice. When I tell she was amazing I mean it. The office hours was near the end she was getting ready to close and had a customer in line but she was still willing to help me. Thank you so much Andrea!!!!

Initially I was pleased with this storage because it was very clean and the price was somewhat reasonable but after months storing with them my key code would stop working and or would only work during normal storage hours even though I was granted 24 hour access. This happened multiple times. Then I noticed when it rains it would be water in my storage unit and in the hallway. The light bulb stopped working inside my unit. Last year 2020 I received a mail notice saying they were raising my rent due to Covid-19. My storage rent was raised $20.00 !!! From 119 to 139 for a 5x15 In the middle of a pandemic when most people are struggling financially and most business are accommodating people that are struggling during this pandemic. Other businesses are understanding the financial strain. So I choose to stay and they upgrade the key pads recently causing my code to again stop working but then I get another letter in the mail saying they plan to raise my rent again. This time increasing it $25.00 !!! to $164.00 NOPE! It was time to leave. I found a 5x10 at Store Here Self Storage for 79 a month and it was only 30 bucks to move in.
