Mack benn is a really good school when I was there I had honor roll since 1st grade I recommend this school for kids because the staff and teachers really care about the students to help them secsede in life. And this is not just a boring school but it also has different classes so that the students wouldn't be forced extra work in the heads also the lunch I stealth good. So send ur kids to Mack been.

My son attending this school for several years with issues stemming from the very beginning. My son is high-functioning ASD and has an IEP in place for his special needs. Accommodations were not properly set up upon his arrival to Mack Benn as well as his original paperwork lost in transition, they had no idea who my son even was nor his needs or where he needed to be placed. We struggled with the school in making sure he had the accommodations that were set in his IEP along with issues with teaching staff and front office staff. I will say we have had a select few teachers that went over and beyond to be of service to our son as well as the other students and that we are extremely fond of - a select few. Others, not so much! At times we felt our son was just being pushed through the system without the adequate or proper care that he needed and was entitled to. For a parent with special needs the constant struggle of worry for your childs well being and education is not something that should be taken lightly. For a school to have someone as the point of contact (front office staff) as well as answer the incoming calls and deal with directly with parents you would think it would be of high importance for them to be trained properly in how to deal with students along with parents. The office staff, Mr. Albert in particular, has been a contact issue since our son has attended the school. She has zero sympathy towards a child or parent in need of extra attention due to their disability. She has overbearingly rude and inconsiderate and plays a large role in why we have moved out of state to remove our son from this particular school. I have spoken with the principal as well as the assistant principal on several occasions regarding the front office staff and zero changes have taken place. I have witnessed the same behavior from her displayed unto other parents and students as well as witnessed the same complaints from other parents in regards to her lack of respect or moral for the school and blatant rudeness. This is not a bash of the entire school and staff, as said we have had a few teachers that we think the world of but if you are a parent looking to purchase a home in the area and especially a parent with a special needs child I DO NOT recommend the school. Do your research better than I did upon the transfer and find a school that is accredited with the state and has good reviews along with adequate testing scores, etc.
