I enjoy Nickerson State Park mostly because of the crystal clear ponds. You can see grains of sand through 4+ feet of the water. Also having beach access is the best of both worlds! On low tide you can walk for what seem a good half mile to the water. Great for young children. Being located in the middle of Cape Cod is super convenient for all the Cape has to offer. The park is clean, no trash laying around. The bathrooms are acceptably clean. The shower stalls were clean, but the mixer valve in the stall I used, did not mix any cold water in it, so I had a scoldingly hot shower! The staff was friendly. Having the Cape Cod Rail Trail connected to the front of the park is an awesome feature, especially if you have small children. Nice flat trails. The parks bike trails in comparison can be treacherous for inexperienced bicyclists, as the trails are hilly and can have sharp turns at the bottom of some of those hills. There are dishwashing stations in the front of some of the bathrooms in the park, Area 1 bathroom did not. Thankfully I remembered to bring my dishwashing basins. All in all, Nickerson is a great State Park in an Awesome location!!!

This park is our new favorite getaway! The pond is so nice. The campground is clean and well kept. Our site had a path right down to the pond. The spots are nicely spread out and private. Great location being minutes to great beaches and restaurants. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

Great stop for all of your outdoor joys and needs. Ponds are crystal clear and lovely for swimming. The bike trails through the lush pines will bathe you in all the lovely scents of nature. Be up for a challenge though, if you plan to bike the park--the hills are intense! Pull off the rail trail for a jump in a pond to cool off, it's such a treat!

Great place for camping in the middle of the wood. Also the lake has some me sandy beach so great with the kids. A lot of bike trail around to enjoy the landscape

The clear water ponds are beautiful and large. Perfect for swimming, kayaking, or fishing. Like to camp? Make a reservation, it's a popular place. Roads are paved, as is a bike trail through the woods. Dogs are allowed! I visit there year round for walks and forest enjoyment. Once you are 65 and a Mass resident, you can buy a pass for day visiting very inexpensively.
