I am a retired Mechanical Engineer. I retired as Senior Principal of a 50 man firm providing Mechanical/Electrical Design Services and Construction Administration Services for a vast array of projects. During that time I had an opportunity to work with many Architects, Owners, Manufacturer’s Representatives and Contractors. I would put Emil in the top 10% of the Manufacturer’s Representative/Contractors that I have worked with. I contacted 3 Contractors for my project. Emil is the only one that I talked to that was able to come immediately, discuss the proposed project in finite detail covering all aspects of the project. The other two contractors had to make arrangements to get a Manufacturer’s Representative to accompany them to my home to discuss the project. One of the frustrating aspects of my profession was dealing with people that couldn't give me answers without contacting their factory or digging through their catalog. Emil knows his product; he knows design; and, he is a knowledgeable and competent installing contractor. He also provided the best price. In addition, he took care of all the coordination necessary with AmeriGas and with the Electrical Inspectors. The start-up of the system was smooth and as it happened the following week, we experienced a power outage of 1 hour and 45 minutes in duration. As soon as the lights and the TV went off we heard the generator start up. We were back on-line with emergency power within a 10-15 second time period, and the entire process, from power outage and generator start to normal power restoration, went very smoothly. Coming from my background I would always recommend that a person get at least three bids for a project. You will do yourself a great disservice if one of the bids does not come from KDE Electric.
