I love it here! I came here all the time during my childhood, and I have gotten to know some of the workers personally. They are very friendly! The onion rings there are some of the best I have ever tasted. As well, the turkey club. Coming as a child, I would always try to get on the pig, and called it the piggy place. But as I said, it is a very friendly place to go, as well eat from.
Friendly service, where everyone knows your name! Food is loved by locals. Daily specials & yummy desserts all at affordable prices.
My husband absolutely LOVES the BBQ here and I love the chicken and dumplings. I hate that you can only get the dumplings on Thursdays AND you have to place an order early to get them because there is a limited amount made. If you want some good old fashioned down home cooking this is the place for you to go. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CASH!!! THEY DO NOT TAKE CARDS!! It isn't in the best area of Hopewell but it is worth going to have their food.
Best BBQ ever!! Love the coleslaw, green beans, potato salad, hamburger steak, who am I kidding I love everything they fix (except for the livers because let's face it they're livers!).
Hush puppies were good. The sliced bbq was dry. I think they should have regular coffee and not just decaffeinated.
