Stole our money! Boring and not a bit scary. The only reason it gets two stars is because of our 8-year old and 13-year old who *sort of* enjoyed it. Went after Christmas so we walked around in low-40 degree weather to be told made up stories we could’ve stayed inside and read in a book. Not sure if our storyteller paused every other word for dramatic effect or because she didn’t know the story.nnAnyways, cool to be walking around Williamsburg after hours, and I guess okay for the kids, but if you’re a group of adults, save your money!!
We really enjoyed your tour! Our tour guide, Dan, was great and very informative! He’s been working and doing tours for over 30 years and had so much information to share and stories to tell. He was a great story teller, and since this was our first ever tour at Williamsburg we would highly recommend it and can’t wait to come back and do another tour during the day!
First, I will say it was super cool to be walking around Colonial Williamsburg after hours and it was raining on our night which should have made for a perfect scary ambiance...but it did not. While our storyteller was nice, she did not scare me or my family at all. She was way too bubbly for ghost stories and it seemed like she was trying to make us laugh more than she was trying to scare us. Granted, it was kid friendly, but it seemed to be a bit too kid friendly. If you are just a group of adults, I don't think you would find this ghost tour interesting. On top of that, she would not stay on track. She told one 18th century ghost story and then everything else were not-believable stories that apparently mediums have told staff. Not everyone believes in mediums. One of the more ridiculous things that was said was that the ghosts on the property apparently have ghost parties......right.....save your money, give it to a more scary attraction if you are actually trying to be scared!
We had a great time and Sam is a great storyteller. This was a lot of fun.
Had a fun time takes about an hour kids are 12 they were not too scared. Would have liked to go to the cemetery but wasn’t part of the event
