I loved the area, just sad there wasn't much open right now with covid stuff going on. Will be visiting this area again!

This is the place where Charles Cornwallis once cowered before the punishing guns of General George Washington's onslaught. The cave is small, unimpressive and entrance is barred. After a three week long siege, Cornwallis surrendered Great Britain's claim to the American colonies and the USA was born. USA! USA! USA!

Very shallow cave you can only see from behind metal fence. It's nice and cool when standing in front of it, no matter how hot it is outside. However there was lots of trash inside the cave. Definitely needs to be kept up a little better.

Area is so rich in Revolutionary history. Area attractions are well marked. Park service personal extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely coming back in the summer. Plan to camp and make multiple day trips to see things we missed today.

Historic title for a slight hole in the hill. Yorktown is a delightful place to learn about the last significant battle of the Revolutionary War. The town council has done an impressive redo and restoration of the waterfront. It's a happening place wih quaint shops and yummy eateries. Swim in the Chesapeake. Take a trip on one of the reproduction ships. Ride the historic route our war heroes marched. The battlefields are well marked. See you there!!
