A really good gym, I have been very pleased with this gym. From the friendly front desk staff, management gave a friendly and wonderful walk around of the place to make you feel right at home. The trainers and staff work well at making sure your getting off to a good start by taking the time to get you into the right path of your goals. The equipment is new looking and well maintained, and gym is very clean. I'm completely happy ud83dude0a

My daughter signed up with American family fitness just prior to the pandemic. Immediately after the pandemic started they closed their doors and no one could be in the facility for quite some time. I then later into the pandemic requested that my membership be terminated however I found it impossible to get through to the desk to cancel the membership and the website was absolutely atrocious. They make it impossible for you to quit your membership. When I finally got in touch with someone they stated that we did not sign a contract from the standpoint of the calendar year however we guaranteed payment for 12 months. They of course did not count the months that they were closed and they began to debit our credit card when they were finally allowed to open. They state that this is normal however I pointed out that this is the first pandemic that the country has had so that would be impossible. I think their practices are atrocious and they conveniently use the pandemic as an excuse to continue to get paid. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They make it easy to sign up then possible to cancel your membership.

Any concerns or feelings of trepidation I had for returning post-quarantine were lulled after I toured the facility. The safety protocols are easy to follow and strictly enforced. The group instructors are energetic and engaging while remaining cognizant of social distancing. Signing up for the classes and childcare in advance is easy and convenient. The Kidzone is being supremely managed and decontaminated by Peter and his staff. Although I wish the time limit for children to attend would be extended from 75 mins to 2 and a half hours , I understand everything must be sanitized frequently and that comes into play. Overall, I think it’s great.

Has everything you need, free weights, cardio, machines, etc. Price is on the higher end but average for Williamsburg. Staff is great. Ashley is awesome!
