We lost our key, it was for a highlander with push button start. I called to see how much a new key might cost. I just wanted estimates, and I knew it wouldn’t be cheap. They said they could send a technician out and it would cost $30 for an estimate. I said I just wanted to know how much it would cost for a new key. I didn’t need it immediately, so I could wait until the other local business opened in the morning. The lady was irritated at this, so I said thanks, I’m good, I would just call again in the morning, said good bye, then hung up. I really wasn’t interested in paying $30 for estimate, when I know the key is going to be expensive enough. They immediately called back and said they could have the tech call me and provide the estimate for free. So, I said fine, they can call. They took my address and information. My husband finds the key. So, I call back. I was actually worried that I had given them my address and they’d send someone, and then say I owed them. The second lady I talked to was just as rude as the first, but did let me know the tech would be calling not coming by, and I wouldn’t owe anything. About 5 minutes later the tech called and was polite and nice. 5 minutes after speaking to the tech, the company called back and let me know that the tech was on his way, and I owed them $30. I told her I had made it clear that I didn’t want them to send anyone, and I was not paying, and she hung up. I have a feeling that this is a brokerage for a bunch of smaller companies capable of doing the same things. I’d rather work directly with the techs than going through a company like this.nnUpdate: I called the number back that hung up on me, they said they would straighten it out and I didn’t owe anything.

Only took 15 minutes to get here, unlocked the door in a few minutes. He was very polite and efficient. If needed, will certainly call again.
