Stay away at all costs. Newer independent management, the well reviewed Adam no longer owns this company. The accountant owner Joe presents unprofessional language, discusses politics during session, and then engages in unethical practices involving the tax prep. He is also non-communicative after the session, so if problems arise you won’t get a response. Sloppy work missing numerous deductions, and eager to hit the submit button to get you out. I’m currently in process of initiating ethics violations investigations with Virginia Board of Accountancy, IRS, and elected officials. Go elsewhere, he has no business handling people’s money.

EDIT: Apparently this place is under new management now and Adam is no longer here. Exact same circumstances as the previous year, but received nothing at all and ended up losing out somehow. Unfortunately no longer worth it.

Adam is incredibly professional, patient, and knowledgeable. He answered every single curve ball question I threw his way during our first consultation and subsequent appointments thereafter. His tax season hours are also ideal with evening and weekend availability. I very highly recommend Practical Accounting Solutions for your personal and business tax needs.

A number of years ago, I was looking for a tax advisor and accountant, and frantically so. I couldn’t seem to find anyone good in the area, so I gave Practical Accounting Solutions a shot. Adam is a respectable gentleman who is very knowledgeable about tax law—and being up-to-date on it. He’s also really honest, which is a huge plus when it comes to someone handling your money in any way, shape, or form. I highly recommend getting your taxes done by Adam. Prices aren’t unreasonable, either.
