Beautiful views. Great Civil War history and remains. Best time is October-September, with the fall colors. Also in March for Highland Co. Maple Festivals.
This is an interesting piece of Civil War history sitting atop of Shenandoah Mountain. It is too bad though that better information about ther use isn't provided, just a notation of what they were. I'm sure their history would be interesting to hear.
Beautiful spot along Shenandoah Mtn Trl. Old trees, great treadway and Confederate history too.
It was perfect on the directions but a half mile before I got to my destination I had to turn around because of a 10 ton weight limit bridge . But the map was awesome and showed me a way around it .
Nice overlook looking west. Civil War history is informative.
