Honestly I would not recommend this school at all some teachers need to improve on teaching. Also I feel like some teachers abuse their power of demerits because you could do the smallest things like pick up a pencil from the floor and get a demerit for it.
This school need to make a better effort at the student to learned something new because i feel like the student are no learning a lot in ELA (English Language Arts) but there's some teachers that really care of your education but then other teacher need help teaching
This school was originally the Gavin Middle School. I wish I can rate this school a zero or none at all that is now called UP Academy because the lack of care that this school has for the kids attending there, is ridiculous. I notice the kids getting out of school are being disrespectful and I happen to walk pass by several fights and arguments etc. Education wise, I've heard it hasn't gotten any better there but the school and their parents needs to do a better job in teaching their kids that attend here about respect and behaving themselves while going to school. It does make the school look bad. Overall, it all falls in on the head of the school principal, the teachers and students.
It's a good school
we have 25 fire alarms last year and the teacher wont listen to us
