If you compare the JBER commissary to any grocery store in Anchorage they're the worst and it's not even close. The selection is so limited, the produce is awful and constantly reorganized, the stocking of the entire store is a train wreck. If it wasn't for the prices (generally) it would go out of business. It's a Government run train wreck that will never change.

This is your standard military commissary. The sushi in the deli is just slightly better than I expected. The employees are friendly and helpful.

It has food, it’s good enough.
