Polipoli Spring State Recreation Area

Wonderful park with great bird watching trails. 4wheel drive required to reach park as the road leading in can be rough if there has been rain recently.

Very Nice View The Sky Line View and Cool Refreshing Air or Nature

This place is amazing, after 3 years of living on this island I'm surprised I have yet to explore this place. The road in isnt to bad if its dry. There are some ruts and a lot of bumps so a vehicle needs to have decent clearance to get there. If its wet though 4 wheel drive is necessary. I noticed only 1 bathroom there which is in the field where the camping is allowed. It's a green shack with no markings of a bathroom on the outside but it is. You feel like your on the mainland here, which is great if you want that get away from the island feeling. The climate and ecosystem is beautiful all different times of year. It's so quiet you can hear tons of different birds and we only ran into one small group. The road definitely keeps people at bay. If you want to get away in nature this is the place. There is hunting permitted all over so if you happen to hear a gun shot far away dont be alarmed it's just hunters and it's so quiet it travels very far. Beautiful long hike with tons of fauna and makes you want to learn more about life out here on the islands! I love the peacefulness of this place
