I really loved these glamping tents! Outside shower was awesome. Everything was pretty clean also. Views were amazing!!! Close to good eats & markets.

Staying in a tent site here is the best decision I've ever made. Enter through a secured gate. Clean bathrooms. Close parking. Enjoy the sound of waves gently crashing against the shore within an ear shot of your tent. The friendly resident roosters will have you up just in time to watch sunrise. Best of all is a hot shower under the stars. I'll never rent a hotel in Maui again. I'd live here if they'd let me.

Clean, well groomed area. The check-in process was less than pleasant. Tent camping and bungalow area are nice, however the RV/van parking is a small gravel lot. There were probably 25 cars in the parking lot, with little room to spare (I do believe this was the parking lot for tent camping as well.) I'd reaearch HipCamp and other locations before selecting Camp Olowalu.

A lot of what Camp Olowalu is doing is awesome. The layout of the area is great and the grounds are well-maintained with picnic tables and a beautiful beach. Our tentalow was perfect, and such a nice option as a lower-cost break from hotels when regular camping was still not allowed on much of the island. Felt safe and secure leaving our stuff in the car or in the tentalownnA couple of small knocks, but nothing that would keep us from staying there again. We were there Fri and Sat nights, and there were a couple of large groups partying late into the night after quiet hours. They didn't keep us up, but we had been hoping for a quiet, fall-asleep-to-the-sound-of-the-ocean kind of night. Everything runs on solar, which is awesome! Just make sure to take a flashlight to the bathroom at night, in case someone has forgotten to turn the light off when they leave.
